My story
Four decades of catching waves early.
In 1981 I was studying computer science in Cape Town when the IBM PC was born. Experienced programmers called it a toy. I felt it was the beginning of something.
Since then I have caught every major technology wave early. The first PCs at Bosch, the internet, agile ways of working, and now AI. Almost always as one of the few women in the room.
What I learned along the way surprised me. The technology was never the hardest part. The hardest part was the quiet voice inside saying: not yet, prepare a little more, this is not for you.
